About the event
Explore the Black community's resilience, strength, and spirit through a film screening and conversation designed to empower BIPOC bicyclists, dismantle systemic barriers, and reimagine a world where cycling is a source of joy, freedom, and safety for all.
Since September 2021, the film screening of BIKING WHILE BLACK: HOW SAFE ARE BLACK LIVES BICYCLING? has traveled on the virtual waves of YouTube and various social media platforms. It has also been screened in Detroit at the Better Cities Film Festival, in Oakland at the California Bicycle Summit, and now it's coming to Sacramento's Guild Theatre in Oak Park!
